A short film 'Taka' has been recently made based on the context of the demonetisation scenario in November 2016. Gautam Sardar has produced the film which highlights the problems that the common mass faced during the demonetization incident. Devaranjan Nag, a well-known face of the Tollywood and Bengali film industry will be seen in an important role in the film. Apart from Devaranjan Nag, the film also features debutant actor Joy. Devaranjan will be seen in the role of a hawker and Joy has played the role of a boy from outskirts in the film. This film is scheduled to hit the big screens very soon. Team ‘Taka’ recently appeared in an exclusive interview with Jiyo Bangla where the story of the film and various experiences of shooting the film were discussed. Speaking about his character in this film, actor Devaranjan Nag said that his character in the film is that of a hawker. But apart from that, he has a hobby of buying lottery tickets everyday hoping that he would eventually make a fortune someday. The plot of the film revolves around how demonetisation affected the lives of these people.
