Hospitality is the greatest religion for the people involved with the hospitality industry, what’s even more important is appropriate training for serving the guests. The 'International Institute of Hotel Management' (IIHM) facilitates such training programmes for students from around the country. In a recent initiative, IIHM Kolkata and Marriott International has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which Marriott International's experienced chefs and hospitality management specialists will train IIHM students. Students will also be able to have on-ground experiences at Marriott International's hotels where they will be offered additional training. The MoU was signed between the two organisations at a recent event in the presence of Dr. Subarna Basu, Chairman, IIHM and Gaurab Singh, Vice President, South East India Branch, Marriott India. Dr. Subarna Basu said, "This is the first time that Marriott International has signed such a big agreement in East India. This agreement will give students the opportunity to learn many new things". The event was attended by many experienced chefs and specialists associated with the hospitality management industry.
