The role of Fulan Devi in the 1994 film ‘Bandit Queens’ took Seema Biswas to great heights and helped her to make a mark in the film industry. She is a recipient of the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in ‘Bandit Queens’. She has a lot of awards and accolades to her name including the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the 2006 Best Actress Genie Award. In addition to films, she has even performed in various television shows. After a long gap of thirteen years, Seema has returned to work in the Bengali Film industry with her new film ‘Mon Potongo’ releasing this year. Seema Biswas recently engaged in a conversation with Jiyo Bangla regarding her on-going project and shared her experiences of working in the Bengali film industry after so long.
