Zika virus: In Maharashtra, 11 people have been infected with this virus.

Pune has reported numerous cases of the Zika virus. In the last 48 hours alone, at least five people have been infected, including three pregnant women.

The Ministry of Health instruct all states to be on high alert. In Maharashtra, 11 people have been infected with this virus.

Zika virus is a mosquito-borne disease. It causes the most harm to pregnant women. During childbirth, if a mother is infected with this disease, it can cause the child to be born with disabilities. Additionally, there is a risk of miscarriage and premature birth.

Karnataka have been reports of two infected patients in the Shivamogga district. Additionally, a person over seventy years old died due to this disease on Saturday. Therefore, the central government has issued an alert. Most importantly, the Ministry of Health has advised ensuring that mosquito populations do not increase in the area.
