The coronavirus outbreak which was declared as an international public health emergency concern by the World Health Organization (WHO) has currently spread outside China and gripped the entire world. Currently, the number of infected people is nearing 1 lakh around the world and 3000 people have already lost their lives due to this deadly coronavirus. Many corporate offices in order to keep its employees safe have advised its employees to work from home. An example of one such incident is American Multinational Corporation and IT services provider Cognizant India shutting down its corporate office at Hyderabad. The company has asked its employees to stay at home and work from home to remain safe from this deadly virus. The company took this decision after an associate of another company in the same office building was tested positive for coronavirus (COVIT-19). The IT Services provider sent out mails to its employees stating that it is shutting its office at Building 20 of Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad due to the above-mentioned reason and informed that the office premises is being disinfected and sanitised. Cognizant in the mail sent out to its employees stated, "An employee of a company with offices in Building 20 of Raheja Mindspace in Hyderabad has tested positive for COVID-19. As a matter of abundant caution, we are closing our office in Building 20, Raheja Mindspace for disinfection and sanitisation". Cognizant has also reported that no employee of the company is known to have contracted the virus so far. Paytm too has advised its employees to work from home after an employee of the company who returned from Italy recently was tested positive for coronavirus. Even Amazon has asked its employees to work from home in order to stay safe from the deadly virus.
