She is the one who says that she doesn’t really know anyone in Bengali film industry. She has done Bengali films before. Though she did only one yet it was a famed one. She was in close connection with the famous director, Rituparno Ghosh, but says that she only dredges up Prasenjit Chatterjee.
She is none other than our very own bong beauty Bipasha Basu. In a shop inauguration in Kolkata she said she is open to do Bengali movies if she gets offers. She is expecting good offers from the directors of Tollywood. She was the lead cast of the Bengali movie by Rituparno Ghosh “Sob choritro kalponik”. Now it is ok if she expects movies in Bengali especially when she is born and brought up in Kolkata only.
Bipasha Basu was away from Kolkata for a pretty long time. Therefore it is possible that she has lost all the contacts by now. But it seems she is trying to develop those once again. Bips also knows how to play with the bong sentiments.
