Peace, tranquillity and spiritual harmony! Aren’t these needed after a tiring and hectic week? Someplace you would love to be alone, enjoy your ‘me’ time. A place where you can rejuvenate yourself and get away from your daily mundane life. This week we recommend the following places:
- Belur Math: This place is so serene that you’ll be automatically drawn to the banks of the holy Ganges river, where the temple stands.
- Dakshineshwar Temple: This is probably one of those very few temples in Bengal, where you can just sit and watch the Ganges in all it’s might and say your prayers without being pushed or shoved.
- St. Paul’s Cathedral: If not a temple, you can certainly have your moment of peace within the confines of this Church. Arguably Kolkata’s most iconic Indo-Gothic superstructure. Merely sitting in its prayer hall makes you feel better and part of something bigger.
- Oxford Bookstore: Can you think of a better leisure time activity than sitting in a bookstore, reading while you sip your coffee? Lose yourself in the pages of a book for a few hours. You will definitely feel refreshed.
