Debutante Ritwika Pal, Swastika Mukherjee, and Joy Sengupta are in the lead of Sudipto Roy’s upcoming movie ‘Kia and Cosmos’. The movie revolves around themes of parenthood, class division, alternative education and the thrill of mystery novels from the perspective of a special child. The film is stated as an Independent film even though it is partially crowd-funded. The concept of the movie has already garnered a lot of attention ahead of its theatrical release on March 29.
The director who has made two short films earlier also gave us peek into the plot. But the climax of the story will surely keep the audience interested, confidently stated Sudipto. The film is mostly shot in Kalimpong and Kolkata. When Jiyo Bangla asked him, why he choose Ritwika as Kia? He said, “She was the perfect match for this character, her innocence, and mannerism. I know her parents and watching Ritwika transforming into Kia was beautiful. We loved the way she represents herself.” The film represents autism from a whole new perspective. The movie is slated to get a theatrical release on 29th March.
The movie will bring a smile on your face for sure. The moment Kia unearth the mystery, she will bring forth several unanswered questions.
