On Friday the government of West Bengal stated that students of 50,000 schools who are located within the state-run library's range (which is 1km) will be getting text and reference books from there by 2019. According to Mass Education Extension & Library Services Minister Siddiqullah Chowdhury, at this moment students of 31,000 schools, located within the same distance of a state-run library are getting benefited from this facility. Chowdhury stated while attending an event on the occasion of ‘Library Day’, this step has already become popular among students and it will helpstudents who are facing economic challengesin matters relating to studies.
