The state Forest department launched a first-of-its-kind scheme for wildlife lovers to be able to engage in wildlife preservation and anti-poaching activities at different sanctuaries across the state on 26th November.
The idea is that whoever makes an application for the abovementioned stands a chance to visit and stay with the forest staff instead of going to the usual forest guest-houses or hotels near the sanctuaries, and shall be able to participate in all activities of the forest staff; said Chief Principal Conservator Forests and Chief Wildlife Warden of the state Ravi Kant Sinha
He further added that anyone can apply for the scheme by paying Rs 15,000 for two years which ensures two trips of five days each. The person will have to reach the nearest railway station and airport, and the rest will be taken care of by the forest staff.
