West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, Madhyamik or 10th Boards results are just around the corner, while several media reports have confirmed the day of result to be on 21st May. 10,66,000 students have reportedly appeared in this year’s exam, which started on 12th February and concluded on 22nd February, 2019.
According to reports from PTI, students who appeared in 2019 WBBSE exams, among them 56.65% students were girls, while 43.35% students were boys. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Examination came under scanner this year, for leak of question paper. The news made headlines early this year, when the Bengali question paper was found being circulated on WhatsApp platform some time before the exam. However, no re-examination was conducted by WBBSE president. Last Year the overall passing aggregate of WBBSE Exams were 85.49%.
The Top 3 regions that on the basis of percentile in last year’s WBBSE exams was East Medinipur, West Medinipur and Kolkata; Medinipur with an overall passing percentage of 96.13%; while metropolitan Kolkata way behind Medinipur with 91.11%. Howrah inching close behind Kolkata, securing 91.07% total passing percentage, and South 24 Parganas with 88.12%.
