Dubious though it might be for many, but there’s more to Marvel Entertainment and its human-arachnid, Spider-Man. On the exposition by a trailer of the upcoming animated movie, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey and Rodney Rothman, the world now knows that Peter Parker is not the only one of his kind.
The Marvel multiverse houses a nexus of myriad alternate universes- many with their own versions of Spider-people. Miles Morales, the protagonist of this movie, is an Afro-Latino teenager of Brooklyn who finds himself in an inextricable situation of playing the hero. His comic-book origin dates back to 2011, when writer, Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli, created a deviation from the already popular image of Spider-Man. The vision was to incorporate a metaphysical reality, which further branched into a tantalizing web of different forms of Spider individuals who team up together to terminate particularly tough foes.
According to the initial storyline, Morales take up the mantle after Peter Parker’s death. However, Sony Pictures Animation has retained the character of Peter Parker, albeit as a slightly disgruntled man, greying at the temples, nevertheless charming. The animation has a singular visual quotient with all the promises of a high-octane superhero flick. Morales parents, Jefferson and Rio fine tune the comic elements and the sleek and spunky Spider-Gwen notably increases the anticipation.
This movie is a revelation of Marvel’s intricate chasms of creativity and how the proposed spider-verse is established through a culmination of the totemic force that binds the superheroes together. Christmas of 2018 would unveil the first few of the many.
