Vaani Kapoor made her debut in ‘Shudh Desi Romance’ as Tara opposite to Sushant Singh Rajput in 2013 and had even won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debutant. After Shudh Desi Romance, she was seen in Befikre playing the role of Shyra Gill opposite to Ranveer Singh. The actor is now all set for her next venture.
The 29-year-old actor shall be playing the role of Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest in upcoming film Shamshera where he plays the role of a dacoit.
The director of the film Karan Malhotra told the media that "Vaani plays Ranbir's love interest in the film and is a very important collaborator in his character's journey. Her character graph is interlinked to the plot of the film making her a crucial catalyst in our hero's rebellious mission."
Vaani Kapoor is trying to be versatile. The actor played the role of a shy lover in Shudh Desi Romance while in Befikre her character was flamboyant and carefree. Since she plays the role of the love interest of a dacoit, her character is presumed to be wild and seductive.
Let us hope to see a new Vaani Kapoor in Shamshera.
