The Journey of Lord Jagannath to Mashi’s home till he gets back to his house is a famous festival named “Odisha Festival” in Jagannath Puri Temple. This year the famous festival is held to bring some glimpses of Odisha's cultural heritage to Kolkata.
In these eight days, the finest of Odisha's performing arts-from Odissi dance to pulsating Tribal Drums accompanying its many folk art forms will be presented to the Kolkata Audience by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. Like other years, this year to UTKALA bring their cultural splendor from 15th July 2018 to 21st July. The Traditional Khiri Pitha competition will be organized on 15th July. The intricately woven fabrics of Sambalputi and Kataki fabrics will be available for Kolkatans.
