The Journey of Lord Jagannath from his home to his Mashi’s place and back is a famous festival named “Odisha Festival” in Jagannath Puri Temple. Like every year, this famous festival brings us glimpses of Odisha's cultural heritage.
UTKALA(the cultural wing of Shri Jagannath Seva Samiti) brings their cultural splendor to our city on and from 15th July 2018. During this period we get to witness the finest of Odisha's performing art-from, Odissi. The dancers dance to the pulsating beat of tribal drums accompanied by a variety of folk art forms. These are to be presented by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists to the people of Kolkata. The traditional Khiri Pitha competition will be organized on the 15th of July. The intricately woven fabrics of Sambalputi and Kataki are to be made available to every Calcuttan.
