Ushasi began her acting career with Bengali television serials. She has worked in several popular shows, such as Milon Tithi, Bokul Kotha, and Kadambini. However, her last appearance in a serial was in Kadambini. After that, she shifted to working on multiple OTT platforms. Ushasi was seen in web series like Gobhir Joler Maach, Chhotolok, and Kumudini Bhavan.
But Ushasi has always shown respect for television. She always admits that Bengali serials gave her the opportunity to work and brought her fame, and if she had the right opportunity and a good story, she would do the television serial. This time, she will be seen playing the role of a traditional heroine in a new series directed by Raj Chakraborty. Her opposite actor is Sushmit Mukherjee.
Sushmit began his career in Snehashish Chakraborty's serial ‘Baron’ and was later seen in ‘Madhabilata.’ Now, he will be pairing up with Ushasi Ray. It is reported that the promotional shoot for the new serial will begin before the upcoming Durga Puja.
