The Indian auto market has seen the introduction of many new vehicles in a number of different segments over the first four months of the year. The auto industry has been more interested in launching new models, and several of them are preparing to do so in the upcoming months.

Then, let's quickly review some of the most eagerly anticipated new car releases this season.
1. Tata Altroz Racer:
Set to debut in June 2024, the Tata Altroz Racer promises a sporty look and feel. Sporting a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine, this model generates 120 bhp power and 170 Nm of torque. Compared to the Altroz i-Turbo, the Racer boasts an additional 10 bhp of power and 30 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
2. Mahindra Thar 5-Door:
Scheduled to hit the roads on August 15th, this lifestyle off-road SUV from Mahindra, the Thar 5-Door, is eagerly awaited. It is expected to offer three variants, including a Scorpio NCR 2.2-litre diesel and a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. Additionally, it will be available in both 2WD and 4WD options.
3. 2024 Maruti Dzire:
Maruti Company's next big release is the compact sedan, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire. This vehicle, which is visually comparable to the Swift hatchback, will be available with new Z-Series petrol engine choices. The interior layout is rumoured to resemble that of a Renault and a Baleno. It will feature a segment-first single-pane sunroof and a 360-degree camera.
4. Tata Curvv EV:
Delayed until later this year, the launch of the Tata Curvv EV has been postponed due to this year's festive season. It will be the first Tata car to feature an electric powertrain. With dimensions nearly 313 mm longer and a wheelbase 62 mm longer than the Nexon, it will also come with a 4-spoke illuminated steering wheel, 10.25-inch dual screens, and some features borrowed from the Nexon.
5. Citroen Basalt:
Citroen Basalt will be an electric SUV coupe, is probably going to hit the market by the end of 2024. Previously, the C-Cubed programme saw the introduction of the C3 Aircross SUV, C3 hatchback, and eC3 EV. This is going to be the fourth release for customers.
Basalt will be powered by a 110-hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and will be available with either manual or automatic torque converter transmissions.
6. Kia Carnival:
The new Kia Carnival. The release will be in the second half of 2024 is. Displayed as a concept at the 2023 Auto Expo, the KA4 variant will undergo significant changes both inside and out. However, the engine will remain unchanged. It is expected that the 2.2-litre diesel engine and automatic transmission of the next model will remain the same.
7.MG Cloud EV:
MG Motors India is getting ready to introduce a brand-new electric vehicle to its customers this year. However, the official name of the EV has yet to be announced. It might perhaps be called the MG Cloud EV. It will probably cost less than Rs 20 lakh, with a length of about 4.3 metres and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm.
