UP journalist who pens down real issues through his ‘Handwritten Newspaper’

Media is always considered to be the 4th pillar of democracy but it seems the questionable. Media (Web, Electronic, Print) being the last and strong pillar for a nation somewhere lost its truthfulness. Well, being a journalist myself and sustaining this industry every single day is not an easy job. However, today’s media being a war of TRP’s, seems to be an imaginary race to get maximum viewers. From fake news to one-sided opinions even yellow journalism, this profession has stooped to new lows!  But, there are few people who are keeping journalism alive with their honest and trustworthy work. Yes, we are talking about a person who is in this business not to earn money but to bring out the positive change in the society.

Jiyo Bangla found out one such man who is an independent journalist and he intends to fight against all odds against fake news with his single weapon- his words. Meet Dinesh Kumar, who arrived from Muzaffarnagar’s Gandhi Colony in Uttar Pradesh and has already set an example to the world of journalism. Dinesh, who is 53 years’ old does not have an office of his own or any sponsor. But, the one thing that makes him standalone from the rest of the herd is his handwritten newspaper “Vidya Darshan”. He works from dusk until dawn to keep his passion alive and makes everything work properly.

You will be surprised to know that Kumar writes the entire newspaper with his hand. First, he writes a copy in Hindi and then takes numerous photocopies of it. However, Dinesh doesn’t come from a financially stable family. He sells ice-cream and chocolate to make his daily ends meet. Even after facing so many difficulties, Kumar never fails to get his newspapers delivered on time.  He tries his best to pen down the problem of the society and write the alternative solution of it. Even though he got many offers from newspaper agency but Dinesh Kumar is loyal towards his own handwritten newspaper.
