'Pothe ebar namo sathi' was the slogan for 'Unnayan Yatra' in Burdwan. The yatra is conducted know what kind of development the tribal areas need. The 'yatra' would reach the tribal-dominated areas of eastern Burdwan district. The places that the officials going to cover are Kalna 2 block, Katwa block 2 block, Sribati, Nigram, Presthsali, Memari, Mangalkot, Khandagos, Aushagram 1 block, Dighnagar, Jamalpur block of Jogagram and Burdwan 1 block.
On Monday the yatra started from the birthplace of Swami Vivekananda. It is located in Dattadaritan village of Ankhal Gram Panchayat (Kalna-2 block). President Shampa Dhara and Vice President Debu Tudua were seen in the procession. All the important state government’s projects were also highlighted when the officials were out on the streets.
