At the present time, spam calls are a big problem. General people have fallen victim to scams through these fake calls. To solve this issue, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has introduced a new rule.
This rule will apply from 1st September. According to the rule, if the general public gets any spam calls, then the responsibility for fake calls will go upon telecom operators because their network is being used to harass others with these calls. If any phone number is involved in making counterfeit calls, the number will be blacklisted for two years. The government is implementing this new measure to prevent telemarketing or promotional calls using mobile numbers.
Ordinary people have become extremely frustrated due to fake calls. Thousands of people face problems every day because of these calls. The government hopes that this initiative by TRAI will help resolve this issue.
