People whoare trying to reach Behala and other outskirts of Kolkata are facing a tough time as Majerhat bridge is currently out of operation. Kolkata Traffic police plays a great role in Traffic Diversion in south Kolkata.These are the Temporary Traffic Diversions
Cars and buses towards Behala- Diamond Harbour:
Instead of Hastings Crossings go from Khiderpore- CGR Road-Bracebridge- Taratala Road- Taratala Crossing
Diamond Harbour- Cars and buses going towards North
Taratala Crossing via Taratala Road- Brace Bridge- Hyde Road- CGR Road-Hastings
Cars towards Behala:
Instead of Alipore Road take Judges Court Road or Sandal Road- Diamond Harbour Road- Garden Reach Flyover-Remount Road. Vehicles are taking James long Sarani to reach Durgapur bridge on their way to Alipore Road. Vehicles from the Thakurpukur side are entering Mahatma Gandhi Road, Raja Rammohun Roy Road and the Kabardanga area to reach Karunamoyee and the Tollygunge
Cars and buses from Budge Budge to Kolkata:
Jinjira Bazar crossing via Taratala Road- Bruklin Road- GardenReach Flyover-Remount Road- Diamond Harbour Road
In these roads trucks are not allowed between 6AM-9PM:
CGR Road, Taratala Road, Hyde Road, Shahpur Road, Alipore Station Road, Tollygunge Circular Road, DPS Road, Prince Anwar Shah Road, NSCB, Diamond Harbour Road
Trams closed in following routes:
CGR Road, Diamond Harbour Road and Judges Court Road
The state government is running buses in short routes so that people are not get suffered in this tough time.
