The Lalgarh tiger which had terrorized the forests of Jhargram, West Midnapore and Bankura had migrated from the forests of Banddhavgarh. A DNA analysis revealed that the full grown male tiger had travelled close to 1000Km to West Bengal. The Lalgarh tiger was found poached unfortunately with a spear across its face. Apparently, the central forests could not provide more for these tigers so they chose to migrate to other parts of the country as in the case with this tiger.
