On July 9, the love between Shruti Das and Swarnendu Samaddar turned into a secret marriage. Last Sunday, the registry was finally done between the television actress and the director.
The actress posted on social media, writing "Miss to Mrs." as the caption, with a picture of a white cake with rose decorations on the day of the registration wedding. Shruti also changed her Facebook profile's relationship status to "married." Also, Swarnendu posted a status with the words 'just married'. Later, they posted their wedding photos on social media.
Both newlyweds shared their wedding photos from Sunday, wearing pastel-coloured outfits. Swarnendu's outfit was in Punjabi tones to coordinate with Shruti's saree. Shruti was dressed in a white saree and white blouse, and Swarnendu was dressed in a white kurta and white dhoti.
The couple did not have any grand wedding ceremony; in fact, they had an intimate wedding where they had a small celebration where they had a registry wedding along with 'cake cutting', 'malabadal', and 'sindoordaan' in a club near the Tollygunge area.
Swarnendu said to the media, "It's a dream come true for both of us. We have been a long-term couple. And I came to the realisation that now is the best moment to be married. We wanted to keep our registry wedding discreet." Actress Shruti said, "Only a few close friends and relatives were invited." The Bengali Serial 'Trinayani' was the starting point of their romantic adventure."
