As the new year approaches, West Bengal residents are in for a special gift: a faster and more affordable train journey to Bengaluru. The railway authorities have introduced the “Second Amrit Bharat Express,” prioritizing passenger convenience.
This Amrit Bharat Express, operated by Indian Railways, offers “No-Frills” superfast express service with a speed of 130 kilometers per hour. The train comprises a total of 22 coaches, including 8 standard rooms and the rest designed as sleepers.
Passengers can enjoy modern amenities for their comfort, such as CCTV cameras, digital display boards, ample charging points, contemporary restrooms, fans, and sleek switches. Each seat is equipped with a mobile charging point, ensuring a hassle-free journey.
However, it’s important to note that this train does not have air-conditioned coaches.
Manufactured by Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, the train boasts two locomotives and is set to accommodate approximately 1800 passengers. Notably, reservations for distances ranging from 1 to 50 kilometers in the second class start at an unbelievably low price of only 35 rupees, with no additional reservation fees or extra charges.
This initiative aims to make travel more accessible and enjoyable for the people of West Bengal, bringing the charm of Bengaluru within reach for everyone.
So, get ready to explore for an incredibly affordable price on the Second Amrit Bharat Express!
