The Tejas Rajdhani Express is set to embark on a revamped journey, altering its route from Agartala to Anand Vihar Terminal. Starting January 15, the train will now traverse through Malda Town, Bhagalpur Junction, Jamalpur Junction, and Via Patna Junction.
The change comes after persistent demands from the passengers, and it is evident that this modification will not only benefit the states of West Bengal and Bihar but also strengthen the connectivity between these regions. The Tejas Rajdhani Express has been a vital link between Agartala and Anand Vihar Terminal, and this route adjustment reflects a response to the collective voice of the commuters.
With this alteration, the train schedule and overall travel time have also been adjusted. Train No. 20501 (Agartala-Anand Vihar Terminal) will depart from Agartala on January 15, 2024, Monday, at 15:10, reaching Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi at 10:50 on Wednesday. Similarly, Train No. 20502 (Anand Vihar Terminal-Agartala) will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal on Wednesday at 19:50, reaching Agartala at 15:40 on Friday.
The Tejas Rajdhani Express is now poised to serve crucial stations like Malda Town, Bhagalpur, and Jamalpur, enhancing the geographical connectivity of West Bengal and Bihar with these significant railway junctions. This adjustment is anticipated to promote economic and social development in the connected regions.

In this context, the chief communication officer of Northeast Frontier Railway, Sabyasachi Dey, conveyed that all information about the stops and schedules of these trains can be found on the official IRCTC website. Additionally, detailed information will be shared through various newspapers and the social media channels of Northeast Frontier Railway, ensuring widespread awareness about this positive change in rail connectivity.
The revamped Tejas Rajdhani Express not only signifies a shift in its physical route but also symbolises a step towards stronger regional integration and improved transportation options for the residents of West Bengal, Bihar, and beyond.
