The Latest Workout

We have exciting news for joggers around the globe. A new concept of workout has been invented known as Plogging. A combination of  jogging and picking up the garbage. There is a term called “plocka upp” used by the Swedish people whose meaning is to pick up.

The purpose of this unique concept is to clean and preserve the environment. Often we come across plastic bags, papers and plastic bottles lying openly in some public places. And as responsible citizens, it’s our duty to clean the surroundings.

Plogging is an impressive idea because one can perform two most important activities together. To make plogging more beneficial ploggers have added some exercises. It is a simple exercise of bending and picking the garbage, which surprisingly, improves the functioning of your heart rate. It is hard for us to believe that plogging has been proved to burn more calories in comparison to jogging.

The reason why plogging burns more calories because our body makes an effort to bend and lift the garbage. It is stated, that half an hour of plogging will cut down approximately 288 calories, while regular jogging will cut down 235 calories.

 An eco-friendly concept, plogging, is also becoming wildly popular in Social media. People are going crazy and uploading pictures of the trash they have collected. This unique notion will never fade because we know how desperately we need to save our planet.
