Rudra Chatterjee, the managing director of Luxmi Tea Company and also the chairman of India’s largest carpet company, Obeetee, is now the proud President of the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC). The 90th Annual General Meeting on Friday saw Mayank Jalan, chairman & managing director, Keventer Agro Ltd. appointed as the new Senior Vice President and President of Rupa & Co. Ltd, Vikash Agarwal was honoured with the position of Vice President.
Apart from his newly gained position in the ICC, he is the managing director of Luxmi Tea Company Pvt. Ltd. and the Director of Biswa Bangla Marketing Ltd., Makaibari, Manor & Mews, Banglar Dairy, UK and Haldia Petrochemicals Ltd.
Graduating from Columbia Business School, Chatterjee is also a guest lecturer at IIM, Kolkata. However, business is in his blood. He took over these firms and has now gained massive prominence in the business sector.
