Twenty-two years ago, Kolkata got its biggest Science centre. The largest promotional centre- Science City was built in the city of Joy which is also the largest promotional centre in the sub-continent. A proud feature that was added apart from the Victoria Memorial and other architectural pieces.
Now 13 smaller versions of our city’s top attraction for Kids, will be opened across the country this year. One of the centres is coming up in Guwahati at the cost of Rs 200 crore, will be as big as the one which Kolkata holds. The National Council for Science Museums (NCSM) stated that new functions and facilities for upcoming science centre will start soon. Rs 20 crores will be spent on other facilities including food courts.
