The Hon'ble Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee paid tribute to freedom fighters on the occasion of 75th anniversary of the formation of the 'Azad Hind Sarkar' under the leadership of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
On Sunday, the CM tweeted, “My heartfelt tribute to all the brave soldiers of INA (Indian National Army) who fought for India's freedom under the leadership of Netaji. Jai Hind.”
Bose made an announcement regarding the formation of country’s first independent government on 21st October 1943. Netaji played a significant role in India’s freedom movement. The CM praised the Kolkata police on Police Commemoration Day and she also greeted the police forces from different states.
