The demand for SUVs is on the rise, with many customers eager to purchase one. Consequently, several companies are busy manufacturing these vehicles. Among them, Tata Motors stands out as the leading seller of SUVs with its exceptional model, the Tata Nexon.
Recently, the company unveiled a new base model of the Nexon. The starting price for this car is set at 4 lakh rupees, making it quite affordable. By reducing the price of the car, Tata Motors has introduced a new model into the market. Moreover, it offers not only petrol but also diesel options, along with an automatic transmission.
The starting price for the new Tata Nexon Smart (O) model is 4 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). Additionally, the prices for the Smart+ and Smart+ S models have been reduced by the company. Currently, the Smart+ model is priced at 3,00,000 rupees less, while the Smart+ S model is priced at 4,00,000 rupees less.
It is worth noting that the petrol variants of these two models are priced at 8.40 lakh rupees and 9.40 lakh rupees, respectively. These cars come with two engine options: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Additionally, there are options for 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gears.
In essence, the price of the car depends on the variant you choose. Furthermore, the Tata Nexon offers excellent features and specifications, including a large infotainment system, wireless charger, automatic climate control, speakers, cruise control, and many more premium cabin features. However, the base model lacks some of these conveniences.
The Tata Nexon is one of Tata Motors' best-selling four-wheel-drive vehicles. It was first launched in 2017, and since then, the company has introduced several updated versions. Last year, a new facelift model was introduced to the market. This car is available in petrol, diesel, and electric versions, with a CNG model set to be launched very soon.
In the coming months, the Tata Nexon CNG may be seen in showrooms. The company has hinted at various alternatives in terms of the engine or powertrain. Moreover, the SUV-style body and design are still present, which will undoubtedly attract customers to this car.
However, Tata Motors also pays close attention to safety features and specifications. Consequently, the four-wheel-drive has received a 5-star safety rating in crash tests.
