On Tagore’s death anniversary on 7th August, we the Jiyo Bangla team pay tribute to the great poet of Bengal and we are highly obliged for his great contribution to Bengal.
Tagore was an immensely talented poet, Essayist, spiritualist, writer, educationist and many more. He was the first non-European to be felicitated with the most prestigious award- Nobel Price for Literature in 1913. His work has been translated into many languages and serve as an inspiration to the millions even today and it will continue in near future. It has been 77 years since his death, but the man still lives within us through his words.
For the people who love his works, still believe that the stalwart was a Bengali poet and polymath who built Bengali literature in the true sense of the term. Even today, his significance extends beyond the sphere of art and literature as he is still one of the important milestones of modern Indian identity.
