Director Srijit Mukherji has said that he is in ‘no hurry’ to shoot his next flick, which deals with the 23-Year-old Swapna Barman’s life history. The director is keen on making a biopic on the athlete, who won the heptathlon gold in 2018 at the Asian Games, Jakarta.
For this movie, Srijit has roped Sohini Sarkar to portray the role of Swapna. In an interview, Srijit once mentioned that “I will create a movie based on 26 alphabets. I am half way through.” According to the source, it is to be heard that the shoot for the biopic will start only when Sohini is completely prepared for the role. She is currently undergoing the workshop with Swapna Barman’s coach Subhash Sarkar.
Recently, Sohini worked with director Abhijit Chowdhury for his project Manbhanjan. Speaking with Jiyo Bangla, she said, “Currently, juggling with lots of projects. I won’t reveal through, but the audience will get to see results very soon.” Recently, her short movie titled ‘Manbhaanjan’ which is based on Tagore’s stories resealed on Hoichoi.
