In an event at a packed-to-capacity Netaji Indoor Stadium, Vyakti Vikas Kendra India (The Art of Living Foundation) announced Karmayog Samagam - Vyakti Vikas se Rashtra Vikas in the presence of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar on Sunday. Among those who attended were 12000-plus rural representatives, delegates, representatives of various non-government organizations across West Bengal. The event was first of its kind where all districts of Bengal came together in Kolkata and witnessed an aura of spirituality and change. The event marked the presence of a prominent network of social change and positive development through empowering individuals at clusters and corners of Bengal by holding hands towards a non-violent and stress-free environment through a generation of development opportunities for every individual who is motivated to create a positive change in the society.
The initiative is envisioned to create opportunities for socio-economic environmental and sustainable transformation through community engagement. The idea is to start a wave of spiritual empowerment and engage community leaders by encouraging ownership and igniting change through collective action.
The aim was to empower the social leaders with a structure of moving ahead towards self-development, leading to community development, ultimately making a small contribution towards a better India inculcating within them the vision of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar who says, ‘Vyakti Vikas se Gram Vikas, Gram Vikas se Rashtra Vikas’.
