SPML Infra Limited (a leading infrastructure development company of India) along with Joint Venture partner OM Metals Infraprojects has secured an international order from the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Republic of Ghana for work relating to rehabilitation and completion of Kpong left bank irrigation project in Ghana, Africa for approximately 32.1 million US dollars. The World Bank has funded the project.
Scope of abovementioned work includes modification of existing supply canal, main canal, cross regulators along with installation of new distribution structures. The Letter of Intent (LoI) was received last week and the projects will be executed within 18 months.
Mr. Subhash Sethi, Chairman of SPML Infra Limited said that they are delighted with the new order from Ghana, which is the second order from Africa. He further added that the rich experience of SPML Infra Limited in drinking water management and irrigation will help in delivering the projects in a timely manner while ensuring excellence in service in conformity to international safety standards.
