The heritage building to honor, Sister Nivedita is open to the public now. Sister Nivedita spent a lot of time in that house at Bag bazar. In the year 2013, the house was acquired by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and she handed it over to Ramkrishna Sarada Mission. Then the work regarding the maintenance of the house started. This house has a gallery, there is Sister Nivedita’s reading room and there is a place where all the letters are kept.
Arrangements have been made to present the life and work of Sister Nivedita in front of the public through audio visualization, recently a website, in honor of Sister Nivedita was launched too. It was inaugurated by Shri Sarada Math and President of Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Bhakti Prana Prabrajika. People can visit this house today and tomorrow and enjoy our cultural heritage. It will also be kept open on 12th, 13th,and 14th November.
