After making biopics on several people, finally Bollywood is set for the biopic of the courageous martyr Capt. Vikram Batra, the man whose quote for battles ‘Dil Mange More’ became the quote of Pepsi Co.
Capt. Batra led during the Kargil War, which was one of the most difficult battles. Capt. Batra died while guarding his juniors in the war. The brave Capt. Won the Param Vir Award on 15th August but unfortunately, he died before receiving it with his own hands.
In the biopic of Capt. Vikram Batra has been named Sher Shah of Kargil, (Sher Shah being his pet name), Sidharth Malhotra plays the role of the spirited martyr. The character of Capt. Batra was earlier played by, Abhishek Bachchan in the film LOC Kargil, though it was not a biopic.
Actor Sidharth Malhotra feels honoured to play such a character and says, “As an actor, I need to feel the connect. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It is based on a real person and I think one needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity. The character that I’ll be playing next is very sensitive and his story is also quite touching. When I was approached for the film, and they spoke to me about the character, I felt it means a lot to me and I have so much respect for him.”
Sidharth Malhotra is gearing himself up with regular practices and training sessions. The story of the valiant Captain is fascinating in itself.
