Mother’s Wax Museum in New Town Kolkata is the one and only wax museum in Eastern India which opened four years ago and an approximate amount of 7 lakh people visited there since its opening. The Mother’s Wax was named after Mother Teresa and was inaugurated by our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from the podium of KIFF 2014.
At Mother’s Wax Museum (MWM) there are statues of many great personalities like Vidyasagar, Sri Ramakrishna, Ma Sarada and Swami Vivekananda of the 19th century, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Kapil Dev from the sports world, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan from film industry which attracted a large number of visitors.
This year for the first time the visitors at the museum will get a chance to watch the films in connection with KIFF free of cost and also there will be a room from where they can even buy relics.
