Satyajit Ray’s beloved short stories will be turned into web-series.

Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has announced a web series on legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray’s short stories. Titled as X-RAY- selected Satyajit’s short stories, the 12-part series will be produced by Viacom 18’s new digital content branch name as ‘Tipping Point’. As per reports, the web-series will be directed by National Award-winning director Srijit Mukherjee. “One aspect of Satyajit Ray which probably gets overshadowed by his cinematic genius is his remarkable treasure trove of short stories which an entire generation grew up on,” said AjitAndhare, the Chief Operating Officer of Viacom 18.  The collaboration was announced on Ray’s 97^th birth anniversary.
