Honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has always been supportive of small businesses blooming in our state and has done everything to support them.
Now to boost the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) even more, the Bengal government is trying very hard to promote a two day event ‘Synergy State MSME Conclave” which will be taking place from August 20th and August 21st, 2018. As Bengal has the highest number of MSMEs in the country with 52, 69,814 units, and accounting for 11.62 per cent of the overall number. In 2017, the state recorded the all-time high bank credit flow to the MSME sector in the last five years at $15 billion
The roadshow at Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is being held mostly to influence MSMEs to participate in the conclave apart from conducting district-level meetings. As said by Alapan Bandopadhyay, Additional Chief Secretary, MSME and Textiles Department.
The conclave is scheduled to be opened by our Honourable Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and this meeting is going to be attended by over 5,000 MSMEs from various fields.
