RKM’s institution awarded A++ by NAAC

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute an A++ grade after their latest round of evaluation. Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute situated at Belur is the only institute from West Bengal that has received the highest score by NAAC. It is also the first time that this institution has been assessed by NAAC. This NAAC accreditation is valid for a period of five years. The institution follows a university structure of education as preferred by Swami Vivekananda himself and also has campuses in Narendrapur, Coimbatore, and Ranchi apart from its main campus in Belur. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and diploma programmes in Sanskrit, physics, mathematics, computer science, yoga, rural and tribal development, agriculture, disability management, and disaster management. Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute scored an average grade point of 3.66 out of 4 in the evaluation conducted by NAAC. Swami Atmapriyananda, Vice-chancellor of the institution said, “This is a unique and unparalleled achievement for a university going for NAAC accreditation in its very first cycle — clear and authentic recognition of the academic excellence of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda (Deemed) University by the autonomous and authorized accrediting institution NAAC”.
