Initially it was Ritwick who was playing the lead cast in Arindam Sil’s “Balighwar” but somehow he was replaced by Rudranil. There is nothing much gossip about it but Sil felt that Rudranil is not properly exploited by the directors in the Bengali film industry. He should get a fair chance to show that he is not only a comedian but a good actor too.
Rudranil was primarily not that interested in doing the film because Ritwick was into it but when Arindam Sil approached him for the movie “Balighwar” he could not say “no” to him. Rudranil liked the script and always wanted to work with Arindam Sil.
In the movie “Balighwar”, Rudranil will be playing the role of a professor in Dhaka University. The shoot of the movie is going on in Dhaka right now.
