Rituparna Sengupta has bagged the lead role in a Hindi film opposite Anurag Kashyap in south director Hari Vishwanath’s second feature film ‘Bansuri’. He saw Rituparna’s movies at film festivals and wanted to work with her since then. His own movie ‘Radiopetti’ won the Audience Award Best Film at the Busan International Film Festival 2015. He is the first Tamil film director to win this award.
The film is about a single mother raising her child who usually plays with their musician neighbor’s son. One day suddenly tired of listening to his friend’s parents, he picks up a violin a plays it beautifully, which makes the audience praise him say things like the talent is in his blood. After returning home he asks his mother what’s in his blood and in reply she hands him a flute, just like his father used to play.
We bet Rituparna will do a marvelous job in this film too!
