Rani Mukherjee who is one of Bollywood's most powerful and versatile actresses, turned 40 recently. On her 40th birthday she wrote an open letter to her fans where she stated that she felt great turning 40 and is thankful to everyone who has given her all the love and support in the 22 years of her career. She feels privileged to have had powerful scripts, which defined her career.
The actress is thankful to all the film-makers who had their faith on her and helped her evolve as an actress and make an identity of her own. Her desire for becoming an actress was suppressed inside her and it was pretty late when she realised this.
Further she adds that, her journey of becoming an actress has not been easy and every single day was like a test to her, because each day she had to prove to herself and to the world outside. This happened more after she tied the knot with producer Aditya Chopra and further more the challenge continued even after she became a mother. Becoming a mother was supposedly the end of her dreams. Yet, she carried on.
A woman in the industry is always judged and evaluated for things she speaks, clothes she wears, the way she walks and simply everything. The actress promised her fans to keep on breaking the stereotypes and continue giving her best, as she always did.
