“Tong Ling”, the dream project of director Raj Chakraborty is now facing a few snags after announcing the date of Mahurat. Svf will be producing the film and as we all know most of Raj Chakraborty’s films are the adaptations. “Tong Ling” is also the adaptation of one of Leela Majumdar’s stories.
Leela Majumdar is one of the most renowned authors in the history of Bengali literature. Now the future of this movie is quite indeterminate because of the fact that daughter of the writer Sreelata Bandhyopadhyay refused giving the copyright to the director and the production house. Now that Raj Chakraborty and Padmanabha Dasgupta have worked on this project for more than ten years, they are pretty downcast right now.
