To enhance passenger convenience, the railway authorities have extended the operation timings of special trains, particularly for those travelling to the North-East border.
Two pairs of special trains, namely Train No. 07046/07047 (Secunderabad-Dibrugarh-Secunderabad) and Train No. 07030/07029 (Secunderabad-Agartala-Secunderabad), will continue their services with unchanged schedules and stops.
Train No. 07046 (Secunderabad-Dibrugarh) Special will run every Monday from April 1 to May 13, 2024, while Train No. 07047 (Dibrugarh-Secunderabad) Special will operate every Thursday from April 4 to May 16, 2024.
Similarly, Train No. 07030 (Secunderabad-Agartala) Special will run every Monday from April 1 to June 24, 2024. Its counterpart, Train No. 07029 (Agartala-Secunderabad) Special, will operate every Friday from April 5 to June 28, 2024. Additional stops have been added at Jalpaiguri Road station for both trains.
Moreover, to accommodate the festival rush, the rail authority has introduced a unidirectional special train. On March 28, 2024, Train No. 05013 (Gorakhpur-Dimapur) will depart from Gorakhpur at 19:50 hours and reach Dimapur on Saturday at 03:45 hours.
The Chief Public Relations Officer of North-East Frontier Railway, Sabyasachi De, highlighted that the extension of services for these trains will benefit passengers by reducing waiting lists on other routes.
