Finally, the much-anticipated moment arrived as Raghav and Parineeti tied the knot. The actress and the Member of Parliament from the Aam Aadmi Party embarked on their journey together amidst the picturesque backdrop of Udaipur on September 24th.
For the past week, this wedding has had everyone eagerly waiting, with every moment making headlines. However, this union was a private affair, with very few glimpses shared throughout the day. It wasn't until the late-night reception that a viral picture emerged, featuring Parineeti adorned in traditional attire, with sindoor on her forehead, a red saree, and a gold-bordered blouse, complete with intricate jewellery.
But it was Monday morning when the newlyweds took to social media to share several pictures of their wedding ceremony. Within moments, the photos went viral, accompanied by numerous well-wishes and messages of love in the comments section.
Parineeti's wedding attire was custom-made by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra. She looked stunning in a golden lehenga with intricate embroidery, paired with statement jewelry. Notably, on the veil, the Devanagari script beautifully inscribed Raghav's name, a personal touch that is said to have come from her sister, Priyanka Chopra.
On the other hand, Raghav's outfit was designed by the talented Pawan Sachdeva. He donned a white sherwani with a golden shawl and accessorised with a golden pagdi, necklaces, and earrings.
The couple shared their joy on social media, captioning their post, "From the very first chat at the breakfast table, our hearts knew. Been waiting for this day for a long time .. So blessed to finally be Mr and Mrs!
Couldn’t have lived without each other .. Our forever begins now .. 💖"
The wedding saw the presence of notable political figures, including Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh, and other prominent personalities. From the world of Bollywood, fashion designer Manish Malhotra and Parineeti's close friend, tennis star Sania Mirza, graced the occasion.
However, Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti's sister, was notably absent from the wedding festivities. Neither Nick Jonas nor any member of the Jonas family attended. Nevertheless, Madhu Chopra, Priyanka's mother, was present to celebrate the joyous occasion.
The 'RaghNeeti' wedding, with its blend of tradition and personal touches, will be remembered as a splendid union between two individuals from different spheres, uniting in the city of lakes, Udaipur.
