Independent filmmaker Quashiq Mukherjee, who is more popularly known as Q, is back with a new film.
And this time, he has come up with a documentary-drama on Bengali author Nabarun Bhattacharya, largely known for his magic realist and anti-establishment works. The film is titled ‘Nabarun’. Speaking to the media, Q said, he has been greatly influenced by the author's work which is often reflected in the kind of film he makes. “It’s surprising that none bothered to make a film on Nabarun despite the author gaining a cult status among his readers,” he added.
It’s quite interesting that the trailer of ‘Nabarun’ was launched nearly three years back. And finally, the film will be shown at a special screening in Kolkata on June 23rd which incidentally is the 70th birth anniversary of the late author.
