Power department promises uninterrupted power supply

New Year is special for the Hindus in a whole different way because of Gangasagar Mela. Gangasagar Mela is one of the most important occasion when lakhs of Hindus from across the country come over for this festival. As it is one of the most active festivals in West Bengal, therefore, the Power Department of Bengal has been making all the mandatory preparations in order to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the Gangasagar Mela. Contraption work has been undertaken to boost the capacity of the 33/11 kV substation at Rudranagar. The department has also decided to ensure power supply to 54 points within the Gangasagar Mela and its neighboring areas.
