On Thursday afternoon, Nabanita wrote a long post on her social media accounts, announcing their separation. She wrote an open letter to her husband. Later, it was heard from some news agencies that Nabanita told them their divorce would be done in August.
Even though Nabanita shared this matter on social media, her husband didn’t say anything for long. He was also unavailable over calls, as he did not wish to talk about it in the media. Finally, Jeetu responded on social media, writing: "তোমায় শুরুতেও আগলেছি, আজও আগলাব। আগামীতে তাই করব, বাচ্চা বউ"।
Jeetu's old post clearly shows how much he cares for his wife, Nabanita. In May, Nabanita and Jeetu went to London to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. However, Jeetu went there for shooting purposes. The actress later told the media agency that the tickets were pre-booked and she did not want to cancel her first foreign trip. The decision to separate had already been taken. She also said, "We were not agreeing on several issues. I can't say whether this was affecting his life or not, but it was affecting mine, for sure."
