Child abuse and mistreatment has become very common in almost all places including schools. In today’s day and age most women are working mothers and they get very little time to interact with their kids. However, it is pertinent to be aware of the facts that go on in our lives.
Let us look into the subtle changes that parents should look out for when their children might face any mishandling or abuse:
- If the child gets overly frightened and shrinks every time she sees adults approaching her.
- Take note if your child is suddenly addressing someone as “evil” or taking about him/her in a negative manner. He/she can even cry or run away in the presence of such person.
- If your child is suddenly becoming unconvincing or conflicting, ensure to spend quality time with your kid and find out the root of his/her problems.
- If your kid is suddenly behaving oddly, or is mostly dejected and is uninterested in his surroundings then take some time out to talk to the teachers in his/her school along with the care giver to understand the problems being faced by your child.
- Check your child’s genital parts regularly after he/she comes back from the school or park. If you find signs of any bruises or scratches, consult a doctor immediately.
